About Duncan

DuncanTheGardener rHello, I'm Duncan The Garden Guy

Having built a garden for a family member to support their health and well-being, I realised I had found my passion in horticulture. I discovered that I had a natural gift for understanding colour and planting schemes; which plants go best with other plants to give the best effect. I wanted to explore how the skills that I was developing could be used to support well-being through a sensory garden.

Through this experience, I discovered a real flair for appreciating how the shape, texture, scent, and colour of my planting arrangements could be of real value to people's well-being and mindfulness.

I decided to take the plunge and undertake training, whilst still in full-time employment, with the "Best in Horticulture College" within the grounds of Ryton Organic Gardens near Coventry. After five years of training, I gained my RHS Level 3 qualification in Horticulture.

This was followed by gaining my WRAG Scheme Qualification working under the instruction of the head gardener at Holdenby House and Gardens. I believe this qualification will give you confidence that I have worked in all aspects of gardening in a grand estate, throughout all seasons of the year.

The experiences gained here gave me the drive and motivation to start my own business, providing bespoke gardening services.

I started advertising and was fortunate through personal recommendations to grow my business to reach where I am now; a full-time gardener providing first-class services all year round in the Northamptonshire area.

I hope you'll find information on my website useful in understanding what I can offer you. I'll be delighted to have a chat and can come and visit to understand how I can support and help you grow your love for your own garden.

I live with my librarian wife and our three cats, Einstein, Newton, and Darwin and I prefer de-caff coffee and gluten free biscuits.
